True to the saying:
a picture is worth a thousand words, we present the Apostleship of Prayer (AP)
and the Eucharistic Youth Movement (EYM) through images.
This issue of our magazine is composed solely of photographs of these two works
from around the world.
The AP is in 90 countries while the EYM, our youth branch, is in 44.
You will note the rich diversity of both, and, that they function with different rhythms
and models, adapted to a myriad of cultures.
For the AP, there are basically two models:
The Movement Model, with well established and official organizational structures,
visible parish groups, regular meetings and practices,
and in some places, even a uniform (see for example Philippines, Angola, Tanzania, etc.).
The Service of Spirituality model, with no distinct groups.
It is an invitation to serve the Church through one’s prayer and the offering
of one’s daily life, regardless if the person belongs to other Church groups or not.
As you many know, officially AP is not a “Movement”.
We define ourselves as an Association of the faithful that live this spirituality.
So, there are different ways of belonging to the AP.
In some countries it functions as a Movement as you can see from the photos while
in others it follows the Service of Spirituality model.
The EYM, on the other hand, requires clear structures and always functions as a Movement,
sharing the AP spirituality adapted to young people.
Enjoy your tour around the world!
